BP&O: branding and packaging reviews

About this resource

BP&O is an English-language publication covering branding, packaging and graphic design, founded by designer and writer Richard Baird. Its reviews combine visual examples with critical discussion of ideas, strategy and execution. Articles examine how an identity works across packaging, print, digital applications and motion. Writers discuss typography, colour, illustration and the relationship between design decisions and a brand’s character. This can help you develop stronger reasoning for your own concepts. For reference research, browse the logo archive and themed collections covering subjects such as mascots, signage, posters, custom typefaces and coffee packaging. Start with a relevant technique, then open the associated project to understand its context and credits. Public pages and available reviews can be browsed for free. BP&O Plus provides unlimited access alongside bookmarks, dark mode and a gallery view. At the time of review, membership costs £6 per month or £50 per year and renews automatically until cancelled. Use BP&O for research and inspiration. Published logos, photographs and projects do not become freely reusable design assets: check the rights and obtain any necessary permission before copying or republishing them. Keep links to the original articles and their credited creators.
