FontBase is a free font manager built specifically for designers. It helps organize large font libraries, quickly search for typefaces, preview them with real text and activate fonts temporarily without permanently installing them in the operating system. Users can create collections and sub-collections, connect existing folders from their computer, access Google Fonts with a single click and work with thousands of files while keeping performance fast. FontBase also provides glyph previews, OpenType features, style information and detailed font specimens. Its Playground makes it possible to test typefaces in a web-like layout by adjusting headings, body text, font size, line height and spacing, then exporting the resulting CSS. This is useful for testing typography and font pairings before using them in a live website. FontBase supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Most core features are free, while the Awesome subscription adds advanced tools for teams, synchronization, license management and more professional font workflows.
