Superdesign: AI interface design

About this resource

Superdesign turns a text description into an interface design, from a single component to an app screen or a website page. It is useful for exploring a visual direction and comparing several ideas before investing in detailed design work. Design variations sit on an infinite canvas. You can develop a promising layout, branch it into alternatives and refine it with plain-language instructions while keeping earlier versions available for comparison. The public library includes prompts for landing pages, UI components, animation and different visual styles. Browse them as starting points, then adapt the structure, colors, typography and content to your project. This is a useful free resource even without running a generation. Use the web app or connect the workflow to coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor. The agent integration can take an existing interface and design system into account. Review generated designs for responsiveness, accessibility and fit with the actual requirements. Superdesign follows a freemium model: its free plan lets you try generation within a credit allowance. Code export and advanced features belong to paid plans. Check the app for the current limits and prices before starting work.

Usage and licensing

The current Superdesign web service is not open source. Its older open-source IDE extension is a separate, unmaintained project; that licence does not establish rights to the hosted service. No blanket open licence for all library content was verified. Before commercial use, check the specific material’s terms and the rights to third-party images, fonts and code.
