Milanote

About this resource

Milanote organizes creative work on visual boards. Instead of keeping every thought in a long document, you can place notes, images, links and files next to each other and see how they relate. This is useful when a direction is still developing and references need to be compared, grouped and rearranged. Boards suit moodboards, design briefs, visual research and content planning. Collect references, explain why they matter and distinguish approved decisions from ideas that still need testing. The result can preserve the reasoning behind a direction as well as the images themselves. Shared boards and real-time collaboration give a team a common place to work. A board can bring together project structure, discussion material and next steps. Templates and examples help establish a starting point, while the layout can be adapted to the actual project. The free plan has no time limit and includes 100 notes, images or links, 10 file uploads and unlimited shared boards. Unlimited boards do not mean unlimited content storage. Paid plans expand the available capacity for notes and uploaded files. Begin with a single board and a few clear groups: the brief, references, decisions and next actions. Keep source links beside images and explain which aspect is relevant. Before sharing publicly, check board access and the permissions attached to photographs, client files and other materials.
