Kern Type — a kerning practice game
A free browser game for developing an eye for letter spacing: reposition letters, receive a score and compare your result with a reference solution.

The Equilateral Triangle of a Perfect Paragraph is a learning game by Matej Latin from Better Web Type. It explores the relationship between font size, line height and line width. The aim is to judge these properties together. Latin uses an equilateral triangle as a visual model of balance. Two sides represent font size and line height, while the base represents line width. As their relationship changes, the triangle moves away from equilibrium, suggesting the direction of an adjustment. Each level asks you to change just one specified text property. Checking your answer reveals a score and visual feedback. There are ten levels, with maximum scores of 5, 10 or 15 points, and a total possible score of 100. Use the exercise after learning basic web typography: assess the paragraph by eye, change the requested property, then compare your judgment with the result. This is the creator’s teaching framework for understanding relationships between dimensions, rather than a universal formula for readable text. Typeface, content and reading context still matter. The game is accessible without payment or registration, but requires a computer: its official page explicitly says mobile devices are unsupported. Better Web Type’s book and other learning offers are separate. Site terms restrict reproduction without written permission, so free play should not be confused with access to openly reusable graphics.
